Waiting for the train, Coburg VIA Station.

Well, my mum made it through the surgery! It took around four hours -- my mum's insides were a total mess apparently. Took them almost two hours of surgery before they could even deal with the cancer.

The upside is, there were no obvious signs that it had spread. The downside is, my mum's bowels were in such bad shape that she's going to need a permanent colostomy. But she's alive, and that's what counts.

Now, we're not out of the woods yet. The next few days will tell the story. She just has to keep healing, and make sure no infections set in. Infections are the big worry at this point, just because my mum's bowels were so messed up and the surgery ended up having to be so extensive. So please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers, it's appreciated.
