Yesterday Rannie, Jay, Josie, Gary, Jacqui, Jeremy, my darlin' Carla, and I went over to the Pacific Mall to check out the latest in Asian goodies. Parking was insane. Dimsum was delicious. Pocky selection was unparalleled.

Apparently it's the largest Chinese mall in North America, and I don't doubt it. It was a lot of fun, and a great shooting environment too. Everyone shopped, Rannie and I shot. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Rannie's shots from the day. I even managed to get told off by some grumpy shopkeeper who didn't wan't me photographing his jars. Next time though, he should probably try and catch me before I've already taken the shot...

I'll hopefully be posting some shots from our little jaunt soon. While I did shoot some with the coolpix, I was mostly using my Mat and XA, and I still have to drop off the films at the lab.

At any rate, I took this one on the way home from the mall yesterday. I had just finished taking the shot when I heard this loud "Hello!" come from behind me. I turned around to find the cab driver with his hands up -- the poor guy thought I was trying to break in to his cab! Luckily I just showed him the camera and everything was cool. We even chatted for a few moments and I showed him the preview on the LCD. I must have given him quite the scare leaning over his taxi like that in the dark. ;)

p.s. This photograph marks my 100th entry!
